What is Reader or Converter for Smart NOx Sensor (SNS) ?

The Smart NOx Sensor (SNS) is operated by a ceramic sensor element and an electronic control unit (ECU), and is capable of measuring NOx concentration (ppm), air-fuel ratio (A/F ratio), and oxygen concentration (oxygen partial pressure).

The SNS sensor is controlled by a dedicated Controller Module equipped with an independent ECU. The measured NOx concentration (ppm) and O₂ concentration (%) are transmitted to the OBD system via CAN communication.

The OBD system monitors the SNS sensor, performs ON/OFF control, displays the measured NOx concentration (ppm) and O₂ concentration (%) on the FND display, and generates corresponding voltage or current output signals for external devices.

The maximum output range for NOx measurement (Max NOx Value, ppm) and the output signal type (current or voltage) can be configured through PC software. [STANDARD Type]

Communication with a PC via RS-232 or with a PLC via RS-485 (using a dedicated PLC-RS485 OBD interface board) is also supported. [PLC Type]
